58 Bangladeshi companies participate at world's largest consumer goods fair Ambiente

Dhaka: World's largest consumer goods fair Ambiente 2024 is to take place from January 26 to 30, 2024, in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Buyers in various sectors, from hospitality to office supplies, can anticipate a diverse range of renowned specialised exhibitors.

Over 3,900 exhibitors from 83 countries are participating in the event. More than 58 exhibitors from Bangladesh are set to represent the country at fair. Paragon Ceramics, Artisan Ceramics, and Protik Ceramics are scheduled to showcase their products in hall 12.0 (Dining). Additionally, other companies like BD Creation, Prokritee, Dhaka Handicraft, RFL Plastic and Golden Jute will feature their products in halls 10.1, 10.4, 11.0 and 11.1 (Giving and Living).

The 'Export Promotion Bureau' has been supporting the growth of exports in Handicrafts, Decorative Items, and Kitchen Accessories by providing subsidised stalls. This initiative allows small and medium exporters, including SK Handicrafts, Saidpur Enterprises, and Craft and Design, to exhibit their products at the world's largest consumer fair, thereby enhancing their export opportunities.

For more than thirty years, Bangladesh has been actively engaging in Ambiente, resulting in the development of various industries like jute and handicrafts. Notably, Bangladesh stands as the second-largest participant from South Asia after India, presenting an extensive array of products.

In 2023, more than 4,561 exhibitors from 83 countries participated and showcased their products to 109,491 visitors from 170 nations.
