Air Astra opens sales office in Uttara

Dhaka: The country's newest private airline “Air Astra” has opened a sales office in the capital's Uttara to ensure better service for its customers in the area, a press statement said.

Zahid Hasan, a celebrity film and television personality, inaugurated the sales office at Sector- 3 of Uttara on April 30. The ceremony was attended by Air Astra CEO Imran Asif, among others.

Customers now can purchase tickets directly from the Uttara sales office in addition to online. All other services including ticket cancellation, refund and change of flight time will be provided from the office.

The newly opened office will soon start selling packages for Cox's Bazar including air tickets and hotel accommodation.

Air Astra currently operates 10 daily flights on Dhaka-Cox's Bazar-Dhaka, Dhaka-Chattogram-Dhaka and Dhaka-Sylhet-Dhaka routes. The airline will soon launch services between Dhaka and Syedpur.

Air Astra fleet now comprises 3 ATR 72-600, most modern turboprop aircraft in the world with a capacity of carrying 70 passengers.
