Air India to refurbish its aircraft to give it a premium avatar

The Tata Group-led Air India has announced a $400m plan to refurbish its entire legacy wide-body fleet comprising 27 Boeing B787-8 and 13 B777 aircraft.
Simultaneously, it will also refurbish its narrow body fleet of 65 aircraft with new and more comfortable seats as the airline tries to appeal to global flyers and be in the league of global majors like Emirates and Singapore Airlines.
The first refurbished aircraft is expected to enter service in mid-2024.
