Biman Captain Nawshad’s body arrives

Dhaka: Body of Biman Bangladesh Airline’s Captain Nawshad Ataul Quaiyum, has arrived in Dhaka flying from India's Nagpur today morning.
"Carrying the body of Capt Nawshad, a flight landed at Dhaka airport at around 9:12 am," Dr Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal, Managing Director and CEO of Biman, said.
The two sisters of Captain Nawshad, who were also in Nagpur, came to Dhaka on the same flight.
The national flag carrier said a Dhaka-bound flight from Doha brought the body of the deceased with a stopover at Nagpur's Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport.
State Minister for Civil Aviation M Mahbub Ali, top officials of the ministry, Biman and Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, members of Bangladesh Airlines' Pilot Association, among others, were present at the airport to pay their respect to the well-reputed pilot of the national airline.
From Dhaka airport, Captain Nawshad's body will be taken to his residence at Uttara, Biman sources said.
The pilot will be buried at Banani graveyard today, said Captain Sajjad, a pilot of Biman.
Captain Nawshad, who suffered a massive heart attack mid-flight while commandeering a Muscat-Dhaka flight, passed away on August 30 at a hospital in India at the age of 44.
The pilot was in deep coma with ventilation support soon after he was admitted to the Kingsway Hospital in Nagpur following emergency landing of BG-022 on August 27.
