Hong Kong Air Cargo names new GSSA in India, cargo handler in Turkey

Dhaka: Hong Kong Air Cargo has appointed Aeroprime as its general sales and service agent (GSSA) in India and signed a separate agreement with Aeroglobe Aviation Services for cargo handling in Turkey, as the carrier strengthens its operations in two key markets.
In India, Aeroprime will handle cargo sales, marketing, customer engagement, and business development for the airline's services to and from Delhi, the two companies said, aiming to support the country's fast-growing cargo market.
The partnership is expected to support Indian exporters and freight forwarders, with trade between India and East Asia continuing to grow strongly across electronics, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, automotive parts, fashion, perishables, and e-commerce shipments.
Hong Kong Air Cargo Vice President for Commercial, Raymond Chen, said Delhi serves as a major gateway for high-value, time-sensitive shipments, calling India a strategically important market for the carrier.
Aeroprime Group Executive Director and Chief Executive Abhishek Goyal said Hong Kong remains a key global air cargo hub with seamless access to major manufacturing, trading, and consumption markets, adding that the deal reflects the company's commitment to the logistics community.
Separately, the airline has begun cargo handling operations in Turkey through a new partnership with Aeroglobe Aviation Services, which connects its scheduled freighter services between Istanbul Airport and Hong Kong International Airport.
Istanbul-based Aeroglobe announced the agreement in a social media post on June 16, saying it had officially started providing cargo handling services for Hong Kong Air Cargo in Turkey.
The ground handler said the contract reflects its commitment to delivering reliable and efficient aviation services while supporting the growth of air cargo operations in the region. It thanked Hong Kong Air Cargo and other stakeholders for their trust and cooperation.
Aeroglobe's services for the airline include aircraft handling supervision, ground support coordination, and tailored management solutions for both commercial and private aviation clients.
Hong Kong Air Cargo has been steadily expanding its European network. Besides its established Istanbul route, it has recently added Cyprus and Athens, having begun regional operations in October 2023 with a service to Milan Malpensa.
