Mohammed Hanif elected TOAB President for 2026–2028 term


Dhaka: Mohammed Hanif has been elected President of the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB) for the 2026–2028 term, according to the preliminary results of the association's election held on June 16.
Hanif secured 178 votes to win the top post in the country's apex body representing tour operators, while his opponent, Md. Taslim Amin Shovon, received 144 votes.
Syed Shafat Uddin Ahmed Tomal was elected First Vice President with 163 votes, while Md. Moinul Islam won the post of Vice President-1 after securing 240 votes. Ziaur Rahman Zakir was elected Vice President-2 with 176 votes.
Among other elected office-bearers, Zahir Ahmed Helal was elected Director (Finance), Md. Firozul Islam Director (International), and Md. Abul Baset Babu Director (Trade and Fair).

Md. Robiul Islam Robi was elected Director (Legal Affairs), while Md. Abu Rayhan Sarker won the post of Director (Printing and Publication). Naymul Hassan was elected Director (Training and Research), and Syed Md. Imtiaz secured the position of Director (Culture and Sports).
A.B.M. Zakariya (Razib) was elected Director (Member and Human Welfare), while Shakawat Hossain won the post of Director (Property and Assets).
For the director positions, Mohammad Mohiuddin, Md. Tamim Ahmed, and Md. Nurul Anwar were also elected.
The preliminary results were announced by the TOAB Election Board on June 16 following the completion of voting for the association's 2026–2028 executive committee.
The newly elected leadership is expected to guide TOAB's efforts to promote Bangladesh's tourism industry, strengthen the capacity of tour operators and expand international tourism cooperation during the next two years.
